*cough* well, safe to assume that a lot of people played 3D Pinball Space Cadet as a kid! best time killer when the Internet was down. my fondness for pinball started with this, Kirby's Pinball Land, and Pokemon Pinball.

ahhhhh I've been playing 「World Flipper」, which is both a manga and a pinball-themed gachapon game. when you first make an account, you get a bunch of free 10-pulls and have to form a team of three units. i easily get so discouraged trying to understand the meta -w- so i just copy the team compositions from Discord! enjoy the gifs of the gameplay. the artwork and animations gaaaaaaaaawd

well well well, if it isn't my favorite type of games... i really don't know how to gather my thoughts on this topic so i'll just keep typing/talking til i run out of things to say. heh

i dwell on the past when it comes to games. i think i've been playing the same handful of games for more than a decade (on and off, of course) somehow consistently. hm... that sounds a little contradicting lol. i'm trying to say that i play the game with breaks in between, playing the most during the summer or winter.

my first rhythm game was Club Audition (now known as Audition Online) by Nexon (NA). there are multiple game modes and i guess you can compare it to osu!mania, but it's strictly with numpad or arrow keys. the game population was booming and was probably at its peak before Nexon decided to sell the game to another company, Redbana.

during lockdown, the player base was a lot healthier and i was able to reconnect with a few of my friends from over a decade ago! eeeep i still don't understand how we collectively decided to re-download the game. we talked about how we were barely 10 years old and grinded the shit outta this game. FOR WHAT?! just to click a bunch of keys in a few seconds T-T there's no legacy to this. i can't transfer my arrow pressing skills ):
